There is another Hollywood kid on the block or, in this case, the catwalk. Ava Sambora, the 12-year-old daughter of actress Heather Locklear and Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora made her modeling debut in the White Trash Beautiful show, which kicked off L.A. Fashion Week. But it wasn’t a fluke that Ava walked in this show — the line is the creation of her father and designer Nikki Lund.
Ava Sambora was part of the White Trash Beautiful show, which kicked off Los Angeles Fashion Week. The fashion line is the result of a collaboration between her father and designer Nikki Lund.
The young model's actress mother Heather Locklear was in the front row at the show.
Ava walked the runway as her dad's "Livin' on a Prayer" blasted over the speakers.
After the show Lund said, "She's a diva. She's amazing. And Richie is so excited."
A previous engagement kept Sambora from attending the show, staged at The Gallery in Hollywood.
Heather Locklear & Ava Sambora
Mom Heather Locklear beamed from the front row, while snapping photos on her iPhone as her look-alike daughter strutted down the runway. “I’m very, very proud of her. I’m very excited, and I’m here to support her, Locklear told PEOPLE. “And the minute she’s done I’m going to grab her and wipe off her makeup and get her into her pjs.” Lund, who sat next to Locklear during the show, understood her pal’s protective nature, “Heather is a good mother so she’s being a mother, you know. She’s being really, really good.” Not that Locklear had anything to worry about. Putting her superstar performance genes to good use, the teen was natural and confident as she glided down the runaway to “Livin on a Prayer” in four edgy, yet feminine, looks and “early” Bon Jovi-inspired accessories. Asked if Sambora seemed nervous before the show, Lund said, “No, she’s a diva! She’s ready to rock it, she’s amazing!” Proud papa Sambora couldn’t make the show due to a last minute scheduling conflict, but Lund was sending him photos the whole time, explaining, “He’s so excited about this, it’s his baby!” --Michelle Ward

Justin Bieber Spending & Singing Christmas in Washington
As you probably know by now, Justin Bieber's My World 2.0 hits stores on Tuesday. What you may not be aware of is the role Perez Hilton played in the making of it.
When MTV News spoke to the blogger-turned-music mogul backstage at his high-profile South by Southwest party, he explained his connection to the teen-pop sensation. And he professed his undying admiration for all things Bieber-y.
"People won't believe this, but it's true. I was into Justin Bieber two years ago, because I discovered him on YouTube, but I wasn't in a position to do anything, because I didn't have a record label back then," Hilton said. "Thankfully, I told other people about Justin Bieber back then. So I didn't just keep it to myself. I didn't post it on my Web site or anything, but I did talk about it, because it was the beginning of the conversations of me doing something with music, so I was hoping I could do something with him in the future, but it didn't pan out. ... But I love Justin Bieber."
So how is Hilton linked to My World 2.0? Turns out, the connection is Los Angeles-based production team Stereotypes, who played a new song for Hilton.
"It's actually not even six degrees, it's one degree of Perez on his new album, because I'm so involved in music now, and I'm working with a lot of artists, I've been meeting with a lot of producers," he explained. "I met with this camp in the Valley, they're called Stereotypes. They're these up-and-coming producers, and they played me a lot of their music, and one of their songs, the first time I heard it, I was like, 'This is a smash. This is a huge hit.' And then I started thinking, 'This might be a great song for Justin Bieber.' So I sent it over to JB's camp. Justin loved it. They recorded the song, it's going to be on his new album, and it's going to be a huge hit for him. The song's called 'Somebody to Love.' "
So, if on Tuesday, you're grooving to My World 2.0, remember to give thanks to Perez Hilton. After all, he's just one little part of Bieber's success. Sort of.

CHRIS Gayle
TEAMS > Kolkata Knight Riders > CH Gayle
BORN 21 Sep 1979, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies
TEAMS KKR
BATS Left-handed
BOWLS Right arm off-break
Devastating - that in brief describes the effect Chris Gayle can have when he's on song. The first player to score a century in Twenty20 Internationals, Gayle is all power and simply brute force. Batting at the top of the innings, Gayle has often gotten his team off to great starts - be it Jamaica, West Indies or the Kolkata Knight Riders, who bought him for $800,000. He missed the first edition of the IPL owing to injury, but of the seven times he batted in the second season of the IPL, he managed 40 or more on more than three occasions. In each of those innings, the runs were scored at a good pace. He may not be the most athletic fielder, given his huge built, but he is a safe catcher nonetheless and not too many deliveries can escape his bucket-like hands. With the ball in hand, he is a very handy offspinner to have, one who doesn't turn the ball much, but one who also delivers the ball on the spot frequently.Game
Analysis: Health care's political lift uncertain
The initial blush of President Barack Obama's health care triumph immediately gives way to a sober political reality — he must sell the landmark legislation to an angry and unpredictable electorate, still reeling from the recession.
Voters may not buy it.
And that could mean a disastrous midterm election year for Obama and his fellow Democrats.
"We proved that this government — a government of the people and by the people — still works for the people," the president said late Sunday, beginning his sales pitch from the White House one hour after Congress passed the sweeping measure.
"This isn't radical reform but it is major reform," he added. "This is what change looks like."
Obama and the Democrats are certain to look for a much-needed political lift from the legislation, a capstone for a young presidency and a party after decades of trying to remake the nation's health care system.
But there's no guarantee they'll get it.
For now at least, Obama is savoring victory; he looks strong, principled and effective for getting something huge done in a city Americans detest.
Still, the near-term reward could easily be forgotten come November.
This campaign season already has been unforgiving for the White House and the Democratic Party, with a monumental loss in the Massachusetts Senate election and a spate of debilitating congressional retirements. And conditions seem ripe for the electorate to punish the party in power.
Voters are furious. They hate Washington. They also detest incumbents. They're concerned most about the economy. And unemployment that's hovering near 10 percent. They're also split over whether Obama's health plan is good for a nation with enormous budget deficits and climbing debt.
How those variables play out is anyone's guess.
Even so, Obama reassured rank-and-file Democrats before they cast what he rightly called a tough vote.
"It will end up being the smart thing to do politically because I believe that good policy is good politics," the president said Saturday at the Capitol.
Nearby, enraged tea party protesters filled the grounds and the steps of adjacent office buildings, railing against the measure and promising to fire lawmakers who backed it. Protesters were back Sunday, the message the same.
Ahead of the vote, a Gallup poll showed more Americans believe the measure will make things worse rather than better for the country as a whole and for them personally. And most polls show most people don't like the plan although some surveys showed Americans giving high marks to individual elements.
"It's very unusual that you have a major policy that doesn't have a majority of support in the public," said George Edwards, a Texas A&M University presidential historian. "When they enjoy the benefits of the bill, they may come around. But that may take some time."
Also unclear is how voters will treat Republicans. Some of the measure's elements go into effect immediately, such as coverage for children on their parents' policy until age 26 and prescription drug benefits for seniors. Republicans could be tagged obstructionists if the electorate likes these provisions and if the economy improves.
From now on, Obama and the Democrats will promote the measure's benefits while countering Republican nay-saying and griping about process. The president also will focus primarily on voters' most pressing concern — jobs. And that may endear him to voters more than the passage of his signature domestic issue.
Obama's immediate concern is holding Democratic majorities in Congress. His own political re-election is a while off, but the White House is almost surely focused on it, too.
His job-performance rating is hovering near 50 percent and may not rise even after he put so much political capital on the line.
Past presidents have either seen their poll numbers stay the same or dip following passage of divisive, though history-making, measures.
That was true for Lyndon B. Johnson's Civil Rights Act and Great Society agenda in the 1960s, Ronald Reagan's economic measures in the 1980s, and George W. Bush's tax cuts in the early 2000s. The exception was Bill Clinton, who saw his support increase in the 1990s after signing a contentious budget measure and welfare reform legislation. But it eventually fell.
Obama's political boost may come later.
"There's a bump for the history books," said Fred Greenstein, a Princeton University presidential scholar. "When historians ask if this is a kind of squandered presidency, there will be health care to point to."
The immediate future is less certain.
Will voters give Obama credit for addressing the issue if many Americans won't feel most changes immediately? Or will voters punish Democrats for a year of partisan wrangling that has exacerbated Americans' anti-Washington feelings and diverted focus from the economy? Will health care even be on the minds of Americans struggling through recession?
Throughout the yearlong debate, the GOP derided the bill as "socialized medicine" and warned that it would be devastating. But Republicans may find themselves looking sheepish given that the status quo won't change for most people for years.
Democrats now have an accomplishment around which to unite. Also, critical constituencies like senior citizens and young voters will feel change soon. And independent voters may praise Obama for showing that a Democratic majority can make Washington work.
Still, Democrats face a public fed up with Washington and disappointed by a president elected to change it. A year of bitter haggling and legislative maneuvering may feed into the argument — successfully stoked by Republicans — that Democrats have failed to fix Washington.
That's the reason some Democrats now worry about losing control of Congress.
"The voters will have their say on the politics," says White House press secretary Robert Gibbs. Still, he adds: "The president was and the Congress were sent here to address the problems that people face in this country, and that's what voters want us to see."

House Democrats Approve Health-Care Reform Bill
After a year of fierce partisan debate, the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives late Sunday night passed the landmark $940 billion health-care reform bill, which would extend health insurance coverage to 32 million uninsured Americans, prevent insurance companies from denying coverage to people with preexisting medical conditions and cut the federal deficit by an estimated $138 billion over the next decade.
The bill, the most sweeping social legislation since the Great Society programs of the 1960s and the centerpiece of the first year of President Barack Obama's administration, also represents a milestone -- near universal health insurance -- that has eluded presidents since Theodore Roosevelt more than a century ago.
The final tally, which adhered almost entirely along party lines, was 219 "yes" votes and 212 "no" votes. Not one Republican voted for the measure, which was a vote on a similar bill already approved by the Senate.
Many Democrats who supported the bill called it a long overdue achievement that will provide quality health care to virtually all Americans.
"Health care isn't only a civil right, it's a moral issue," Rep. Patrick Kennedy, D-R.I., said before the vote. He said his late father, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., had worked his whole career for nationwide health care, as had President John F. Kennedy before him, the Associated Press reported.
Republicans criticized the bill as an unwarranted intrusion by the federal government into health care that would cut Medicare and raise taxes by nearly $1 trillion combined. Rep. David Dreier, R-Calif., who was critical of the Democrats' parliamentary maneuverings before the vote, said "the greatest outrage has always been for the bill itself," the AP said.
The outcome of the vote was uncertain as late as Sunday afternoon, with some conservative Democrats withholding their support because of concerns that the bill would allow the use of federal dollars to pay for abortions. When Obama promised to issue an executive order "to ensure that federal funds are not used for abortion services," passage of the bill was all but guaranteed.
The Senate passed its version of health reform legislation in December.
Before a final bill can be sent to Obama for his signature, the Senate must sign off on a package of House-approved changes to the Senate bill. A simple majority vote in the Senate would complete the process, paving the way for Obama's signature.
In the days leading up to the vote, health-care and public policy experts said passage of the bill really boiled down to one simple tenet: More Americans should have access to health insurance.
"The big impact is the coverage of 31 million uninsured individuals, and that includes about 15 million people with incomes below 133 percent of the poverty line [through an expansion of Medicaid]," Karen Davis, president of the Commonwealth Fund in New York City, said last week. "Basically, it makes a big dent in the number of uninsured and underinsured. That's far and away the biggest impact."
Thomas R. Oliver, associate director for health policy at the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, described the legislation as "a dramatic effort to really get at the core questions of accessibility and affordability of coverage."
Though stating that the legislative effort "is a sweeping change," Oliver also acknowledged that the bill, once passed, would be "disappointing to many who believe that the most constructive thing that we need to do as a nation is to bring all Americans into adequate, basic insurance coverage."
He does, however, believe the bill is a step toward that goal.
As it stands, the bill would place penalties on many businesses that don't provide coverage for their workers, according to the AP. While that could mean millions of new paying customers for hospitals, doctors, drug companies and insurers, Medicare cuts would mean that hospitals would have to operate more efficiently to stay afloat. Insurance companies would face unprecedented federal regulation, and health-care industries would be hit with new federal taxes, according to the wire service.
Implementation of the bill's provisions would be staggered over the next four years and beyond.
"Most of the insurance expansion won't happen till 2014, although there will be some changes in the rules right away," Davis said.
As the bill now stands, taking effect in 2010:
* Insurers would no longer be able to exclude high-risk individuals from getting a policy, nor would they be able to dump people who develop medical problems. "That guarantees the availability of coverage for people with serious health problems," Davis said.
* Young adults, up to age 26, would be eligible for coverage under their parents' policies, she said.
* Ceilings on annual or lifetime benefits would be eliminated, Davis said.
Longer-term changes would include:
* Setting up regional health insurance exchanges that various groups -- including self-employed people, those without employer-based health coverage, high-risk individuals and small businesses -- could tap for coverage.
* Adopting portable health insurance, meaning people could take their coverage with them if they left a job, Davis said.
* Stricter regulation and scrutiny of the health insurance industry.
The bill, the most sweeping social legislation since the Great Society programs of the 1960s and the centerpiece of the first year of President Barack Obama's administration, also represents a milestone -- near universal health insurance -- that has eluded presidents since Theodore Roosevelt more than a century ago.

Katherine Heigl's Dress Disaster
Thank goodness Billy Bush was there.
Though celebrities, more often than not, seem uncomfortable in the presence of Hollywood reporters, Katherine Heigl was undoubtedly thrilled to have the "Access Hollywood" personality by her side when she experienced a near-miss wardrobe malfunction.
On Thursday evening, as she was accepting the honor of Female Star of the Year at the ShoWest Awards, Heigl's dress fell apart. Bush graciously leapt to the rescue, holding her shoulder strap in place.
Billy Bush to the rescue
Yes, just when fans thought they wouldn't be seeing quite as much of Heigl -- it was recently announced that she, most likely, would no longer be appearing on "Grey's Anatomy" -- attendees of the event nearly saw much more of Heigl than they ever expected.
With Bush at her side, Miss "Izzie Stevens" was able to carry on with her acceptance speech. A short while later, as she was backstage posing for photographers, Billy's helpful hand was replaced by a pin.
After the incident, Billy took to his Twitter account, summarizing the night's events in less than 140 characters: "Oh my, hosting showest awards in LV. Heigl comes up to get award, dress strap breaks...I hold her top on while she accepts!"
Earlier in the evening, the managing director of ShoWest, Robert Sunshine, mentioned Heigl's "ever-present charm and innate talent." It was charm and talent that wound up being put to the test when she took to the podium.
Heigl's bare shoulder wasn't all she displayed at the Las Vegas gala. The rom-com darling also showed off her new hairdo: The famously blonde actress is now brunette.
For those unfamiliar with the ShoWest Awards ceremony, it is a yearly trade show thrown by The National Organization of Theatre Owners (or NATO for short... yes, really). This year's convention was held in Las Vegas.
This year's Male Star of the Year winner -- not needing any assistance from Billy Bush -- was Sam Worthington from "Avatar." Past Female Star of the Year winners include Rachel McAdams (2009), Anne Hathaway (2008), and Kirsten Dunst (2007).

Her For $30.5 Million Lady Gaga Ex-Boyfriend Sues
Rob Fusari, a songwriter, music producer and ex-boyfriend of Lady Gaga, is suing the singer for $30.5 million, claiming she owes him that much in royalties.
He filed his lawsuit in a Manhattan court on Wednesday.
In court papers, Fusari describes how he took notice of the quirky singer and "saw a star" when she first sang in his New Jersey studio back in March 2006.
Fusari says that over the course of several months, he worked with her daily and "radically reshaped her approach," co-writing some songs on her album.
"Paparazzi" and "Beautiful Dirty Rich" are among those songs he claims he worked on, and, he says even suggested she adapt the stage name Lady Gaga.
Granny Panty Style
The pop star herself claimed in a 2009 interview that she came up with the Lady Gaga persona about "five years ago, but Gaga's always been who I am."
The collaborators became romantic around May 2006 and created a joint business venture to promote her, in which Fusari would get 20 percent of profits.
He says he scored her a record deal with Universal Music Group's Interscope Records, and as a result, The Fame has sold over three million records to date.
He did not claim credit for planting the hermaphrodite rumors.
Although Fusari has a producing credit on the Grammy-winning album, he says he's owned 20 percent of song royalties and 15 from merchandising revenue.
"All business is personal," the filing by the producer reads, noting that his business relationship with Gaga deteriorated after their personal one fell apart.

Hail Michelle McGee The Nazi Photo Shoot
Not only is Michelle McGee, Jesse James' mistress, a rumored amateur porn star, tattoo model and stripper, she once posed for photos in Nazi paraphernalia.
Yeah. Real normal.
The woman who allegedly had a sordid tryst with Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James supports "white power" and gave the Nazi salute in a photo shoot taken at her home in the San Diego area, according to court papers revealed Friday.
The photos were mentioned as part of the ugly divorce from and custody battle with ex-husband Ronald Shane Modica, who says she's a bipolar drug user.
Michelle McGee Topless
Jesse James' mistress Michelle McGee: A topless, trashy Nazi.
In custody documents filed in January, Michelle's ex says she "makes the Nazi salute," and has a swastika tattooed on her stomach (not seen in the pics below).
She also has initials “w” and “p,” which he says stands for white power, on the back of her legs. Wow. No wonder they call her Michelle "Bombshell" McGee.
Taken about a year ago, the Nazi-themed layout, complete with swastika armband and backdrop, was the photographer's idea, but Michelle was enthusiastic.
McGee says she carried on an 11-month affair with Jesse James, who issued a vague apology to Bullock Thursday. Bullock moved out already, reports say.

Joslyn James to Air More Tiger Woods Dirty Laundry
A day after releasing salacious Tiger Woods text messages depicting him as a violent, sex-crazed madman, the porn star mistress is set to leak a set of emails.
Ones she received from Bryon Bell in '07, detailing an alleged meeting in Charlotte from April 27-May 2. Woods had a PGA event that began May 3 of that year.
He won, obviously. Just saying.
The second alleged trip arranged by Byron Bell was in July 2007 to Washington D.C., and for that trip, Joslyn James was in town during the actual PGA event.

Joslyn James is coming clean ... about Tiger's dirty thoughts.
Bryon, an longtime friend and employee of his, helped set up the November tryst for Woods and Rachel Uchitel in Australia that the National Enquirer unearthed.
We all know what happened after that (there was a golf club involved).
Perhaps not coincidentally, Elin Woods has been completely absent from the family home in Isleworth, Fla., where Tiger Woods is living, for the last two days.
Elin moved back in recently, so her absence from Tiger's estate may signal trouble. No one is saying whether it's related to Joslyn James' revelations, but ...

Brittany Murphy Hundreds of Pills a Month
TMZ has learned Brittany Murphy received no fewer than 200 pills every month from January 2008 through August 2009 ... and sometimes as many as 400.
As we first reported, Murphy used an alias -- Lola Manilow Murphy -- at Eddie's Pharmacy in Los Angeles for nearly two years ... before the pharmacy finally cut her off 4 months before her death.
Pharmacy records show Murphy was getting regular scrips for hydrocodone (Vicodin), clonazepam and Klonopin (anti-anxiety), and Vicoprofen (a Vicodin/ibuprofen combo) -- doubling up on some prescriptions on certain months.
For example, one month Murphy was prescribed 200 hydrocodone and 100 clonazepam; another month it was 300 Vicoprofen and 100 Klonopin.
All the prescriptions were prescribed by Dr. Richard Kroop -- we're told investigators paid a visit to Kroop on Friday afternoon.
As we first reported, the owner of Eddie's Pharmacy told TMZ he cut Brittany and her family off 4 months before her death because, "We thought there was going to be an accident there."

How Ryan Seacrest Nearly Played Heidi Montag’s Husband On The Big Screen
Jennifer Aniston made an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” on Friday, and during the phone chat, the two found out that the DJ nearly played Heidi Montag’s husband in Adam Sandler’s 2011-due comedy, “Just Go With It.”
“I was supposed to be in that,” Ryan told Jennifer of the Adam Sandler project which she is currently filming.
When Ryan began describing the character he was set to play, but couldn’t because of the film schedule which conflicted with “American Idol,” Jennifer jumped in.
“The guy that had too much plastic surgery,” Jen said, describing the part.
“Yes! That was me. I was gonna be [the character] Adon,” Ryan recounted. “Sandler calls, he’s like, ‘Dude! You gotta play this role… So I was psyched.”
Jennifer then revealed who Ryan’s on-screen partner would have been.
“You would have been Heidi Montag’s husband,” Jennifer said. “What a missed opportunity!”
Filming on the picture began two weeks ago and Heidi actually began shooting her cameo just this week.
As for filming the project, Jennifer said “Just Go With It” has been a blast.
“It’s really funny,” she said. “I love Adam so much… It’s almost impossible to get through some of these scenes without… laughter.”

RELATIONSHIPS 7 Ways to Keep the Fire in Your Relationship Burning
How many times have you become frustrated with your significant other? You feel like they just don't understand you. You feel like you don't connect anymore. There is no passion and fire left in your relationship.
Do you long to feel that passion again? Here are seven simple ways to put the fire back in your relationship -- and keep it there:
1. Don't forget date night. It's been said a thousand times, but it's true. Couples who forget to go out on dates tend to treat each other like furniture in the house. You need to have a date together every week. Get dressed up for each other. Go out to a restaurant, a ballgame, or just take a walk together. It doesn't matter where you go as long as you do something different from your usual activities. When you're on your dates, treat each other the way you did when you first started dating.
2. Give a proper greeting. When your significant other comes home at night, meet them at the door and give them a big kiss. Don't just yell, "Hey, how ya doing?" from another room. If you are the one coming in the door, go to wherever your partner is in the house and give them a big kiss. Little gestures like this go a long way.
3. Keep on kissing. When you wake up in the morning, make sure you kiss your partner. Forget about morning breath. Who cares? We're talking about showing love from the very first minute of the day. This brings me to the second part of this: Before you go to bed at night, make sure you are connected with your significant other and kiss them goodnight. You should always feel love and nurturing before you go to sleep. Too many couples get into bed -- each person on their side of the bed -- and fall asleep without bothering to kiss each other goodnight
.
4. Break the routine. A big part of keeping the fire burning in a relationship is stirring up the daily routine. One of the best ways to do this is to set a romantic mood. Light candles. If it's a night you normally watch TV, why not light candles throughout the entire house? Do anything that's out of your normal routine.
5. Send a "no special reason" message. Send your significant other little notes in the middle of the day, just telling them that you love them or that you're thinking about them. With email and texting, this is so simple yet so powerful. You can even leave a quick voicemail. That one "I love you" message will make your partner feel happier.
6. Leave a surprise note. Everyone loves a surprise, so try placing a handwritten note in their bag or briefcase. If you leave early for work, leave a card saying, "I'll be thinking of you all day long" or "I really love the way you and I are together." Write something simple but beautiful. Share something to remind your mate of great times together.
7. Be there even when you're apart. If you travel for business or other reasons, leave a sweet note for your partner before you leave. Even better, leave a series of notes for them to find and read on each day that you will be away. If your significant other is the one who travels, slip a card into their suitcase and follow up with some romantic texts while they are gone. This lets them know you are thinking about them. Keeping each other in your thoughts is one of the most important parts of keeping the fire burning.

Ranbir and Katrina Love saga continues
A lot have been told about the hushed up love affair of Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor. But now it’s the time we throw some light on their ‘love affair’ again! And yes, this time it is not any ludicrous or a press implicated story. Infact this time there is a witness. Guess who? Yes, its none other than Priyanka Chopra!
Last year, during New Year’s, press had reported how Katrina had flown to US to be with Ranbir, where he was shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Anjaana Anjaani. When she became aware of the expose, theactress who’d claimed to the world that she was in UK with her family for the holidays, hopped on the next flight to London. Once home, she made sure she spoke to everyone from her landline, in order to prove to everyone (mainly Salman) that she was in London. Kat flew to the US a few more times to spend time with her man. She was discreet and made sure that she stayed away from the set, and no-one spotted her there until one night! Sounding like some thriller story! Only it’s the expose of a relationship, which brewed behind everyone’s back!
ranbir-katrina Except one night, when she came face-to-face with the film’s leading lady Priyanka Chopra. She panicked and the first thing that came to her mind was that now the news would get back home. Since the two actresses are not on talking terms, Kat asked her beau to speak to her and convince her to keep their little secret. And no one found out. Until now, that the unit is back. It is no longer such a secret. Who would like to contain such an explosive piece of news?

Family Reunion For Jon Voight Joins Jolie-Pitts In Venice
Jon Voight and daughter Angelina Jolie have reunited.
The father-daughter pair was photographed in Italy on Sunday joining Brad Pitt and the couple’s brood for a ride down Venice’s Grand Canal.
The globe-trotting family has made its way to Italy as Angelina prepares to shoot her next film, “The Tourist,” co-starring Johnny Depp.
The photos arrive following a report last November that Jon, 70, had reconciled with his superstar daughter after a multi-year estrangement.
“We’re in touch, but not regularly,” Jon told Us Weekly at the time. “We love each other and that’s the most important thing.”
In 2007, the actor issued a statement to People saying he’d “tried to mend this relationship.”
“I continuously send them my heart and love and I’m always available to them for whatever they may need from me,” he said at the time of Angelina and her brother, James Haven.
And in January, it was Jon who came to Brad & Angelina’s defense amid rumors the couple was on the rocks.

Jacob president of South Africa Gedleyihlekisa Zuma has overcome numerous obstacles to become.
There has been another clash between the two parties that form government and their leaders, Robert Mugabe and Morgan Tsvangirai.
South African President Jacob Zuma has gone to Harare in an attempt to patch up a rift in Zimbabwean government circles.
A year ago the parties and former rivals, Zanu-PF and MDC, agreed to share power between Zanu-PF leader, President Robert Mugabe and MDC chief, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai.
This time the MDC has accused Mugabe of appointing people to high positions without consultation and of having launched proceedings against MDC politician Roy Bennet over alleged involvement in terrorism.
In turn, Mr Mugabe has blamed Mr Tsvangirai for doing too little to lift western sanctions against Zimbabwe.
,Mr Zuma has flown in to ease, the crisis, which is doing nothing to solve the countries severe economic, HIV/AIDS and drought crises.
An estimate three million Zimbabweans have sought refuge in South Africa in the last few years, a human flow that Mr Zuma wants to stop.

,Mr Zuma has flown in to ease, the crisis, which is doing nothing to solve the countries severe economic, HIV/AIDS and drought crises.
An estimate three million Zimbabweans have sought refuge in South Africa in the last few years, a human flow that Mr Zuma wants to stop.

CAREY MULLIGAN ON HIS “TALETEND” GIRLFRIEND SHIA LABEOUF HEAPS PRAISE
SHIA LaBeouf thinks his girlfriend is the “most talented” actress he has ever met.
The Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps star is cautious to speak about new lover Carey Mulligan — whom he stars with in the financial drama sequel — but is astonished by her professional ability.
“I never really had anything in my life that was off-limits but with this, just out of respect, I just don’t want to f**k around,” he said.
“She’s an unbelievably thought-provoking actress, the most talented actress I’ve ever met in my life, by leaps and bounds.”
While he is staying quiet about his personal life, Shia was much more forthcoming about his car accident in July 2008 — for which he was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) but never charged — admitting he is still “angry” about the crash, which resulted in his left hand being permanently damaged.
“I’d be watching the news, and they’d play my car crash, and every once in a while Kim Kardashian’s sister would jump on TV and preach to me from the red carpet about how to live my f***ing life,” he said.
“This f***er ran a red light. And he flipped my truck, and he shovelled it on my hand. And my fingers are in the street… they’re off, they’re under the truck door, man.
“This is fake, dude. This is hip bone and the skin that was left over…”

Pearl Jam, Casablancas Bring Double Dose of Rock to “SNL”
This weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live was a rock fan's delight.
Pearl Jam dropped by to play "Just Breathe" and "Unthought Known," both off their new album, Backspacer; Julian Casablancas appeared alongside Andy Samberg in the new digital short for "Boombox," their ode to the ghetto-blaster off Lonely Island's Incredibad album; and there was even a funny skit advertising a new rock fest: the Kickspit Underground Rock Festival, featuring headliners Ratballs, Thundersex, and Mrs. Potatodick.
The worst part: painfully non-funny host Jude Law. Hey, three-out-of-four is good enough, right?
Watch footage of the SNL highlights below, then tell us what you think in the comment section.
Six months after releasing their latest disc Backspacer, Pearl Jam returned to Saturday Night Live this weekend as musical guest, performing two tracks from the record: the hushed ballad “Just Breathe,” which featured a string quartet, and the up-tempo rocker “Unthought Known” (watch them both after the jump). The band seemed to be in a good mood throughout — Eddie Vedder was all smiles after wrapping up their second performance — and the group took time to cameo in a send-up skit of The Twilight Zone’s “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet,” which drew big laughs.
But the show’s biggest highlight was the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas’ guest appearance in the Lonely Island clip for “Boombox.” In the digital short, Andy Samberg and Casablancas show up at a buttoned-up country club, the streets of New York and a retirement home, where they switch on their ghetto blaster and demonstrate music’s awesome power to get stuffy people dancing and old people horny. Casablancas delivered the hook, singing in a high, pinched voice about how a “boombox can change the world.” Before the show aired, he gave fans a heads up about his cameo on his Twitter and posted photos from the set.
Though he’s not yet Justin Timberlake — whose “Dick in a Box” and “Motherlover” both became viral sensations — Casablancas has been showing off his appreciation for SNL in the past few months. In November, the singer released a cover of “I Wish It Was Christmas Today,” which was originally performed by cast members Horatio Sans, Chris Kattan, Jimmy Fallon and Tracy Morgan.

Agassi rivalry comes to fore during charity match Sampras
Tennis legends Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi renewed their age old rivalry on the court during a charity match to raise money for the Haiti relief fund.
The tennis legends joined Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal in raising cash for Haiti earthquake victims.
They have been bickering since Agassi claimed in his autobiography that Sampras was a cheapskate - citing an occasion when he tipped just one dollar for valet parking.
Tennis legends Pete Sampras and rivalry hidden, as it had been eight years since they last faced each other on a tennis court.
But within a matter of minutes of the Hit for Haiti night at the BNP Paribas Masters in California at the weekend, they were almost coming to blows.
Agassi was playing with Nadal and Sampras was teamed up with Federer for one set of doubles in front of a packed house of 16,000, the Daily Express reports.
All the players were wearing microphones, which gave Agassi the opportunity to crack a few gags and get the audience going.
As Sampras simply got on with the business of forehands and backhands, he was encouraged to lighten up a little. Sampras duly responded by imitating Agassi’s pigeon-toed walk and his fidgeting and fussing at the baseline.
Agassi hit back by showing off his impersonation of Sampras; turning out his pockets and claiming to have no money.
Sampras was clearly livid and served a thunderbolt directly at Agassi. “It’s OK, it’s OK,” Agassi said as he dodged the ball. “It’s better than being a valet driver and you pulling up.”
By this stage, Federer and Nadal were looking distinctly uneasy while the crowd was not Nadal was fortunate enough to miss most of the snide remarks and put-downs.
“I didn’t understand anything,” he said. “No, that’s the truth. They speak very fast for me. I was very happy I didn’t understand. I think they try to have fun there. “
They were obviously having so much fun that neither Sampras nor Agassi spoke to the media after the fundraiser and both beat a hasty retreat from the venue. (ANI)
The National Standing Assembly’s Committee on Sports will grill top PCB officials on Monday about their decision to take disciplinary action against seven national cricketers.
“We have invited the PCB chairman and other officials to attend the hearing because we want to know on what basis was this action taken. We have also heard complaints about the board announcing action against players without first taking approval of governing council of the board,” the Daily Times quoted Senate committee chairman Abdul Ghaffar Qureshi, as saying.
There is increasing pressure on the PCB to reveal the basis on which it enforced the punishments.
Acting on the recommendations of an inquiry committee set up after Pakistan’s dismal performance in Australia, the PCB dropped senior batsmen Muhammad Yousuf and Younus Khan for indefinite periods.
The board banned Shoaib Malik and Rana Navedul Hasan for one year besides fining them Rs 2 million each. It also fined Shahid Afridi and Kamran Akmal Rs 3 million each, besides imposing a fine of Rs 2 million on Umar Akmal.
“The issue here is that the senators want to know the charges against the players and also details of the management reports but will Ijaz Butt agree to reveal details,” one source close to the Senate committee said.

David Beckham's injury for 6 months could take him out of the game
David Beckham's left Achilles' tendon was totally torn, and the doctor who performed the surgery said the England midfielder is expected to be out of action for about six months.
Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Sakari Orava said the 34-year-old Beckham is expected to be out of action for about six months. Orava told The Associated Press that Beckham was in "some pain" after Monday's surgery but was doing well and would start walking with his crutches on Tuesday.
"These walking exercises are the first day's program after surgery," Orava said.
"After that he will get a detailed program for further rehabilitation, and then,
(Wednesday) probably, he flies to London, and then to the U.S."
Beckham's spokesman, Simon Oliveira, said the tendon was completely repaired, and he expected the 34-year-old midfielder to play again.
"David is expected to make a full recovery," Oliveira said.
He also told the AP that Beckham's wife, Victoria Beckham, was expected later Tuesday in Turku.
"Of course she is coming," Oliveira said. "She is his wife and wants to be
there."
The former England captain was injured in the closing minutes of AC Milan's 1-0 win over Chievo Verona on Sunday. He was on his second loan to the Italian club from Major League Soccer's Lox Angeles Galaxy.
Orava said Beckham planned to spend the night at the clinic and likely will leave
Finland on Tuesday.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown sent a get-well message to Beckham and praised his role as an ambassador for his sport.
"He emphasized what a tremendous ambassador Mr. Beckham is for English soccer and wishes him well in his recovery, as I think the whole nation does," Brown's spokesman, Simon Lewis, said.
Using crutches, Beckham hobbled out of a private jet at Turku airport in southwestern Finland and left in a Mercedes. Just minutes later, he arrived at the clinic surrounded by security guards amid cheers from hundreds of fans who had gathered outside the entrance.
"I am upset but (want) to thank everyone for their messages of support," Beckham
said in a statement posted on his personal Web site before his arrival. "I hope to make a swift and full recovery."

Jessica Simpson Is ‘Stronger’ After Shooting ‘The Price of Beauty’ 'Embarrassed' By Mayer
Jessica Simpson believes men now mentally undress her when she is in public because of John Mayer's comments about her bedroom abilities.
Jessica Simpson has been left "embarrassed" after John Mayer said she was "sexual napalm" in bed.
The 29-year-old singer and actress admits the situation left her questioning why men were looking at her when she was out and about.
She said: "My phone has been ringing. It's more embarrassing. I'll walk into a restaurant or something. I'll walk and feel like men are looking at me - but I feel like they're undressing me."
Jessica also claims she thinks 32-year-old Mayer was "stupid" to break up with her in 2007.
Speaking on US TV programme 'The View', she said: "He did apologise, but I mean, at this point it doesn't really matter. I mean, I only thought he was stupid for breaking up with me."
Earlier this month Jessica admitted she would always care for the 'Gravity' singer, despite his comments to Playboy magazine.
She said: "I will always care about him. I think he's a great person, a great musician, but I was very disappointed by the article."
She added that given her new, fresh perspective on things, she doesn't care what anyone has to say these days. "I view the world very differently," she said. "Everything's not as big of a deal as people make it out to be, and that's a really great place to be in. I know there's nothing that anybody can say about me that will take me to a very low place, because I am stronger."
It was her experiences traveling all over the globe that gave Simpson strength. "The extremes [people] go to to feel beautiful, I think our society puts way, way too much pressure on a woman to feel beautiful," she said. "But the extremes that we saw in all these different countries were amazing. It was, like, outrageous.
"We went to Uganda. We were in fattening huts [where] the fatter you are, the more beautiful you are in this certain village we were in," she continued. "And so the men want their women to look like cows, because the cows are their prize possession. So the bride-to-be has to gain 90 pounds before she gets married. It does push its limits to what's healthy, what's not healthy. I've done all kinds of stuff on this trip."

Today Mail delivery of 2010 census questionnaire begins
The answers also will determine congressional districts and guide how more than $400 billion in federal funds is allocated to towns and cities across America for schools, hospitals, transportation and road projects, emergency-response tools and other local needs. That means it's critically important that every person — including people who are homeless or living in the United States illegally — is included in the count.
Beginning today, the U.S. Postal Service will deliver 2010 census questionnaires to mailboxes throughout the land, with a goal of counting every person living in America and learning more about the demographics of its people.
“If even 100 people in Buncombe County are not counted, that could mean $1 million less for the county each year for the next 10 years,” said Ken Richards, of Asheville, who is working in public relations for the census project in 13 North Carolina counties. “Whatever we find out in the 2010 census will last until the next census in 2020.”
When the document arrives, all you have to do is answer 10 simple questions, put the questionnaire in the postage-paid envelope provided, and drop it back in your mailbox. If you do that promptly, a U.S. Census Bureau worker won't come knocking on your door in a few weeks to get the answers in person.
“Returning completed questionnaires saves taxpayer money and increases the likelihood of a full count,” said William W. Hatcher, regional director for the U.S. Census Bureau, adding that for every 1 percentage point increase in mail return of the census form, taxpayers save about $85 million in cost for sending census takers door-to-door to collect the information.
Federal law, by the way, requires participation in the census.
Richards, who has been visiting civic groups, schools, government offices and other groups and places that have the capability of reaching high volumes of people to encourage participation, said he's met many undocumented Latino residents who are fearful of revealing their existence to the government.

EMILIE DE RAVIN: IS NOT A DUMB BLONDE!’
EMILIE de Ravin is a natural blonde — but she insists she isn’t dumb!
Emili then admitted she is “confused” about the smash hit TV show Lost, in which she plays the character of Claire.
“I still don’t know how it ends,” she said. “I’ve got no clue. It’s as confusing as it’s always been.
“We’ve still got a few weeks left to shoot, so I’m constantly sort of surprised when I’m given a new script. I mean, it’s insane the things they come up with, but really in a great way. This time Claire is a different person, it’s basically a whole other Claire, so it’s been fun sort of figuring out her journey.”
The actress — who stars opposite Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson in new movie Remember Me — says she has never dyed her hair.
“I’ve never dyed my hair,” she said. “I’d actually love to dye it black, well, not quite black but really dark brown, one day, just for a change. But I’m told it will never come back again.
“I think there’s definitely the stereotype of the dumb blonde, but if people buy into that they’re lame. I wish people looked to people more for their personality than looks.”

Jessica Simpson's 'The Price of Beauty' Hank Stuever reviews
Back when dinosaurs in low-rise denim roamed the land, a barely famous, chastity-promoting pop singer from Texas named Jessica Simpson had a show on MTV, "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica," which chronicled her nascent marriage to a man who'd sung in a barely famous boy band.
Then an asteroid crashed into the planet, and all the reality dinosaurs died. Only they didn't. Simpson got divorced, dated another pop star and a pro athlete, and learned what all celebrities learn -- that there is nothing more soothing than pressing that big red "reset" button on the wall. The worst (and best?) thing that happened to her came in early 2009: During a concert at a chili cook-off in Florida, she wore some high-rise jeans and a too-small tank top that made her look quite plump. Everyone (on the Internet) talked about it, which hurt her feelings, and so she's launched a new reality show about . . . beauty.
But "The Price of Beauty" (debuting Monday night on VH1) is not about beauty, not by a long shot. Mostly it's about a celebrity needing something to do. In it, Simpson travels the globe -- Thailand, France, India, Uganda -- with her BFF, CaCee Cobb, and her high-dollar hair stylist and feyde de camp, Ken Paves. The three are searching for cross-cultural notions of what's pretty, sexy, alluring -- and the emotional and economic prices that a woman must pay to achieve it, even (especially?) in the Third World.
Now, of course Simpson is no Nicholas Kristof. With a little less makeup and bereft of her leonine hair extensions, Simpson is just another innocent broad abroad, gamely participating in the activities "The Price of Beauty's" producers have contrived for her during the first episode's trip to Thailand:

The show was a hit, in part, because Simpson was so maddeningly stooooopid. (She thinks buffalo wings come from buffalo! Haw!) She was an emblem of her era, the triumph of the baby-talking pop star of the 21st century, who was praised far beyond her actual talents thanks to her (and her father/manager's) ability to jiggle and preen for the camera.
Will she eat a fried cockroach? (To derive its beauty-enhancing nutrients?) Will she pass gas during a cleansing but aggressive body massage in Bangkok, only to crack the obvious "happy ending" joke? Can she get through a Buddhist prayer session to purify her soul without giggling?
Soon enough it's clear that Simpson and her friends are on a trip around the world to make jokes and get free spa treatments. Sure, "The Price of Beauty" tries to serious things up a bit (they visit a woman who irreparably burned her face in search of the Thai ideal of pale beauty; they go out to visit those tribal women who elongate their necks using heavy rings), but these efforts fall flat.
At best, "The Price of Beauty" reminds you of the most clueless of ugly Americans who are sometimes seen in "The Amazing Race," barking in Spanish ("muy rapido!") to cabdrivers in Mozambique; Simpson's naivete about the world beyond her own crosses a line from mildly clueless to patently offensive. What's striking about this show is that Simpson, nearing 30, has apparently done little in the way of maturing or learning since the buffalo-wing days. Even if it's all a dim-bulb act, it's a tired act, and if we're talking about real beauty, this sort of ignorance looks unattractive on a woman her age.
Sending Simpson and company around the world to search for anything (beauty, handbags, whatever) is a waste of precious jet fuel. If she wants to do an interesting TV show, I suggest one where she moves back to Dallas, goes to school, lets go of fame and gets a job. Even better? She does all that without a camera in sight.

JENNIFER Lopez letast news
JENNIFER Lopez than a successful career insists her family is more important to her .
The Do It Well hitmaker — who raises twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony — has enjoyed spending time away from the limelight and thinks it has helped her realize what’s important to her.
“I think you have to know what is most important to you,” she said. “And I think you have to realize that as much as you put into work, you have to put into your relationship and your children — but more so. That is how you balance it.
“For me, my family is the most important thing and everything else comes after that. It is hard to do everything, but you just have to. You have to make that effort.
“I have put so much time into my career in the past, so much time trying to get ahead and all that. But you have to do as much and then more for your home life too.
“I try to spend all my free time with Marc and the babies. It’s all a learning curve really.
“The last year has been an amazing time for us, me and Marc. I just wish I could be in two places at once. I would rather be at home now with my babies if I could be.”

Alice Eve: laugh addict and rising star
If you’re a lover of British independent cinema, you may have seen English actress Alice Eve in such movies as Starter for 10 or Big Nothing.
If you’re not, then may She’s Out of My League be a fitting introduction. In the comedy opening Friday, Eve plays the “perfect 10” love interest for a geeky airport security guy (Jay Baruchel). Airports are familiar ground for Eve, as she commutes between work in America — she’s also appearing in this summer’s Sex and the City 2 — and her flat in London. “I couch surf, which I think I’m going to have to change,” Eve says.
“You can only live out of a suitcase for so long.” I talked with the 28-year-old actress for a piece in last weekend’s Who’s News page, but read below for more of our Q&A and check out a clip from She’s Out of My League.
BRITISH actress Alice Eve says she’s “excited” to be starring in the upcoming Sex and the City movie sequel.
In Sex and the City 2, Eve, 28, plays Charlotte’s (Kristin Davis) Irish nanny.
And the busty beauty says she can’t wait for the film to hit theaters.
“I’m allowed to talk about how excited I am about it,” Eve said in an interview with The Miami Hurricane. “I’ve watched those shows since I was a teenager. I play Charlotte’s Irish nanny.”
Meanwhile, in an interview with Mania, Eve spoke about being the new kid on the block on the set of SATC.
“I had to make sure I was very prepared, and I do believe in doing your homework,” she said.
“That movie runs like a slick machine, and you have to fit into that.”
“I tend to gravitate towards romantic comedies,” she added. “If there’s a great serious movie, then obviously I love that too, but I end up doing lighter fare.
“Maybe because that’s what I’m entertained by myself. Really, the projects I do are the ones where the people are impressive, that has a good script and with good people involved. That’s what going to make the product positive and pleasurable.”
